Tyra Viking ship

Description
Tyra was built in year 2000 and is 12 meter long, 2,5 meter wide and 06 meter deep.
It is built in pain with stem and keel in oak. It was used 20 pines to built Tyra and 2 oaks along with 1700 nails to riveting the hull.

Tyra is a replica of "Skulderev 6", which was found in Roskilde in Denmark. "Skulderev 6" was orginally built in Sognefjorden, Norway, in year 1040. It was used as a fisherboat with both sail and vains. It has room for 15 people.

3D Scanning
Tyra has been laser scanned in order to create new, exact drawings of the boat and will be used to built a new copy.
