Scope of work:
Apply Capnor provied 3700 3D laser scans with panorama pictures and established a master grid and PDMS model of Sleipner A for as-is documentation.
Area:
Full cover of the whole platform, except LQ.
Time schedule:
Scans and grid system established within 8 weeks, 3 weeks of PDMS model
Delivery:
Web portal,color scan pictures, delivery of point clouds, PDMS model of 2 modules
Purpose:
Engineering foundation for design purposes. Quality check PDMS model against point cloud, familiarizing with platform, risk management, HSE purpose and engineering preparation for modification on platform.
Description:
Sleipner A is one of the largest production facilities in the North sea. The top deck weighs 57,000 tons, and provides accommodation for about 200 people as well as support for drilling equipment weighing about 40,000 tons.
Scanning:
3D laser scanning with panorama and global grid systems were executed in 2010. The laser scans will be used to verify the new installed equipment, existing equipment and planning for new equipment to be installed. The WEB portal will be used for familiarizing on the platform before personnel is sent offshore and for HSE purpose. Scan data has been provided to several companies with modification contracts toward Statoil.
PDMS model:
A new PDMS model of M22 and D22 is being based on point cloud and will be used for design purposes for redesigning the platform. All modeling has been completed by using point cloud, drawings and PDMS.
Web portal:
A complete online web portal makes the whole platform available for all involvied companies world wide, for viewing scans and panorama pictures. This easy access makes it possible to utilize re-use of the scans.
